The Force is a power that is given to people through Midichlorians. Everyone has Midichlorians, but it is not as strong in some people as it is in the Jedi. The Force may be used Jedi, as well as Sith and Dark Jedi, who use their power for bad, while Jedi use it for good. Notable Force-Users are Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, and Palpatine.
