Qui-Gon Jinn's LEGO form from The Complete Saga
Qui-Gon Jinn was a Jedi, he was the master of Obi-Wan Kenobi and apprentice of Dooku. During the Naboo crisis, he found a slave boy named Anakin Skywalker on the remote desert planet Tatooine. He brought the boy to Coruscant, in order to train him to become a Jedi, because he believed that Skywalker was the Chosen One. Afterwards, he returned to Naboo and fought the Sith apprentice Darth Maul, together with his padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi. He died during the duel, after Maul impaled him with his double-bladed lightsaber. After Kenobi defeated the Sith apprentice, he fullfilled his master's dying wish by accepting Anakin Skywalker as his padawan.
In 19 BBY, Obi-Wan Kenobi would contact his old master through the Force, after being guided on how to do so by Yoda.
