A podracer was a repulsorlift craft used for racing. Podracers could reach incredible speeds and often required hyper-aware organisms to pilot them. The basic podracer was a pod with two engines held together by energy binders. A popular race was the Boonta Eve Classic on Tatooine.

- Gasgano - flew a green podracer which was destroyed by Sebulba during a Boonta Eve Classic race
- Anakin Skywalker - was one of very few humans who flew podracers and flew the Boonta Eve Classic race at age nine
