The MC80a Calamari Cruiser, sometimes called Mon Calamari Star Cruiser or Mon Calamari Cruiser was the backbone of the Rebel Alliance Fleet. It was a heavy starship and exceptionally durable. It could carry a complement of up to three starfighter squadrons. They were armed with turbolasers, ion cannons, tractor beams, and point-defense lasers. Mon Calamari's most skilled engineers also equipped these ships with unbelievable reproductive systems. This cruiser could almost run forever without having to re-arm or refuel.

The shields they had were also the most-advanced in the galaxy.

Strengths[]

These cruisers make excellent front line units, they could fend off almost any frigate or corvettes worst nightmare quite easily. These unlike Imperial Star Destroyers, were immune to shield generator destruction, giving them a significant edge to Imperial Star Destroyers and various other frigates.

Weaknesses[]

Despite them being spectacular warships, they are totally vulnerable to any bomber attack. They were also not much of a match for some other ships like Aggressor-class Destroyers.
