A Mercenary (sometimes also knows as Mercs) was any being that could be hired to do the "dirty" work of corporations, such as that of casinos or gangs. Normally, they would be hired at a certain price, and would often come with a complement of various vehicles and weapons.
They appear in many Star Wars games.
