Echo Base was the Rebel Alliance's headquarters while they were on Hoth.

In Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: Battlefront II, Echo Base is one of the levels.
Battlefront[]
In Battlefront, Hoth consists of several command posts for both the Galactic Empire and the Rebellion. The Empire starts with one CP and two AT-ATs, which act as mobile CPs, but can be destroyed by either turrets and rockets or, as seen in Episode V, tangling its legs in the tow cable of a snowspeeder.
The shield generator is a command post for the Rebellion, but it can be destroyed.
Battlefront II[]
The Star Wars: Battlefront II level is mainly the same as the Battlefront I level, but with a couple differences. The area between Echo Base and the forward command post is no longer a command posts, and the tunnel that takes you there has a side opening to another area (sometimes). The extra area has a Medium Transport in it, which, in the Rise of the Empire campaign, you need to place a detonator beneath.

Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy[]
Jaden Korr on Hoth, in Echo Base
Echo Base - Hoth is a level on the game Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. In it, Jaden Korr is called on an assignment to Hoth to find out whether or not the Disciples of Ragnos have siphoned all the Dark Side energy out of the area. When Jaden arrives, he/she finds that there is no more force energy, but instead, finds a small beacon light and decides to follow it. In doing so, Jaden stumbles across a couple Imperial Remnant scouting camps, and eventually finds them gathered around a downed AT-AT that is being guarded by a AT-ST and an E-Web heavy repeating blaster, guarding an entrance to someplace. Jaden uses the E-Web to take down the AT-ST and enters the place only to lead him back outside into the cold Hoth weather. Jaden then figures he/she has to find a way into Echo Base, and eventually finds another downed AT-AT where Jaden enters through the underbelly into the hidden tunnels underneath. Once Jaden has gained access into the Base, he/she journeys around and discovers some of the Disciples still there. Jaden confronts one of the Dark Jedi discovering that he had already relayed the infromation onto his authority, Alora. Jaden figures he had better stop Alora from taking that information onto her leader and confronts her. She narrowly escapes and vows to defeat Jaden next time they meet.
