The Battle of Geonosis was perhaps the most famous battle in Star Wars history.
The battle started when Padme Amidala, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi were taken captive by the CIS leaders on Geonosis during the first days of the Clone Wars. Mace Windu then lead two hundred Jedi to the arena where almost all of the Jedi were killed by B1 and B2 battle droids. The clone army was then brought to the planet by Jedi Master Yoda, where a huge battle broke out. The clone army pushed the CIS into retreat as Count Dooku escaped with the Death Star plans after a duel with Obi-Wan, Anakin and Yoda.

The battle takes place in Attack of the Clones and can be re-enacted in Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: Battlefront II.

The Battle of Geonosis in Star Wars: The Clone Wars is spread over three levels, the first being the sabotaging of external targets to reach the arena and the second is combat near the arena. The third level, The Battle of Geonosis is the last mission on Geonosis.

The mission started with Mace Windu fighting his way through many Battle Droids and several Super Battle Droids to get to a Republic Gunship. His first objective was to shoot down several Techno Union ships, and then land at a set location where he entered a TX-130S. In the TX-130S Mace Windu defended several SPHATs as they destroyed Trade Federation Core ships. Mace Windu then encountered three enemy vehicles known as Dark Acolytes. The vehicles had very high health and high weapon damage. Mace Windu was then picked up by Republic Gunship as the droid forces retreated.
